Co-hosts Jenna Lindbo, Scott Stoll and I are happy to announce the dates of the 2020 Catie at the Cove Retreats! The retreat takes place on Georgetown Island, a stunningly beautiful setting off the coast of Bath, ME. We started as a songwriters' retreat, and we've morphed in to a creativity retreat. While most of our participants sing or play music in some capacity, we welcome those who do not! We are here to provide lots of inspiration and a safe space to make stuff up. There will be songs written, poems, lines, melodies, pieces, stories and artforms not yet known!

We come together at a lovely summer home on Robinhood Cove. We look forward to greeting you!
Each day starts with a yummy breakfast, followed by morning gathering. In the circle, everyone has a chance to write down a "daily detail" in their journals. Sometimes that detail will inspire more writing, and all are free to go back to their rooms or to a writing tent and keep writing.. Or, you can stay with us for the morning workshop. Workshop topics include, "Co-writing," "Song-starters," "What Works For Me" etcetera.
Throughout the day there are opportunities for instruction, collaboration, or solitude to work on your own.
Meals are always a highlight, prepared by our host Scott Stoll and enjoyed with the pleasure of good conversation.
Our afternoons begin with a listening circle where we share songs in progress. Everyone has the opportunity to play for the group and receive feedback if desired. By the evening we are opening the floor for a song swap. We play our own songs, or songs we love, inviting folks to join in or just listen. One night is set aside as an open mic night, where we put on a show for ourselves!
Join us along with 15-20 others in a place where you will finally have the space and the time to focus on making stuff up! Leave behind the distractions of every day life and immerse yourself in a creative and supportive setting. And have fun!!!
