TOUR and VOICES UNITED CONCERTS are HERE!

BIO: Catie Curtis delivers some of the finest material of her career in Stretch Limousine on Fire, ten original songs that push at her own musical boundaries and explore "the difficult edges of passing events" in life.  Produced by Lorne Entress, the new recording is spirited, unique, and a vivid portrayal of universal life experiences, wrapped in the same brand of evocative songwriting that won Curtis (with co-writer Mark Erelli) the Grand Prize in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition.  The sound, like the subject matter, is rawer than Curtis' previous work, which has been featured on episodes of Grey's Anatomy, Dawson's Creek and several other hit shows.  Since the release of her last album in 2009, Curtis has toured extensively throughout the US, including shows at the White House in 2010 and 2011.

I’m happy to announce my return to the legendary Caffé Lena in Saratoga Springs, NY this Friday, 9/21.  I’ll be playing my new Bowerman guitar that I bought at the delightful Sisters Folks Festival. Then I play three benefits (in Newton MA, Gates Mills OH and LA) as part of the nation-wide Voices United for Separation of Church and State Concerts.  In October I’ll be at the Emelin Theater for Performing Arts  in Mamaroneck, NY on Saturday October 6.  Then I head to Provincetown for Women’s Week 2012 where I’ll play the Art House on 10/11.  On 10/12 I play the Naked Soul series at the Rubin Museum of Art in NYC, and I return to Philadelphia on 10/13, to the Tin Angel.

VOICES UNITED CONCERTS NEWS
(Concerts happen Sept 27-Oct 1)
Over the past 6 months, I’ve helped organize over 70 concerts including 150 artists in 50 states and Washington DC for Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and these concerts are happening soon (!) from Sept 27-Oct 1.  I want to thank all the artists and hosts who are donating their time and talents to this unprecedented, synchronized concert event.  As we can see around the world, religious intolerance turns to violence.  In this country, religious intolerance quickly leads to bigotry.  So, we are standing up for church-state separation.  Susan Werner, Trina Hamlin, Ingrid Graudins and friends are doing it in Chicago, IL.  Cheryl Wheeler and Darryl Purpose are in Birmingham, AL.  Gregory Douglass is in Vermont.  Laura Love, Mel Watson and Jen Todd are playing in Seattle.  Sarah Silverman, Mary Gauthier and I are in LA with Russell Brand.  Meg Hutchinson is in New Hampshire.  Martine Locke is playing Indianapolis.   Ellis Paul is in Florida.  Seth Glier is playing in Wisconsin. Chuck Perkins and the Voices of the Big Easy have New Orleans.  Gretchen Peters, Don Henry and friends are playing Nashville.  The list goes on and on – it’s truly inspiring to see all the folks involved.  See the map and make reservations here:  www.voicesunitedconcerts.com  Go to a concert if you can!
