Catie's Holiday Music and Two Shows!

Hello Friends!

As the temperatures begin to drop and we cozy up under blankets, it’s time to bring out the comforting stuff of life: hot tea, flannel pajamas, twinkle lights, and yes, holiday music! Holiday music comes in many forms… the overplayed muzak in the aisles of a department store, cheesy pop tunes and the sweet acoustic versions that comfort our souls and bring joy to the season. I personally love “We Three Kings,” the Roches Christmas album from 1990.

My holiday CD, “A Catie Curtis Christmas”, evokes the comforting feeling of good friends gathering to play music on a snowy evening because that’s what it is! John Jennings (our dear friend and magnificent musician who passed away in 2015) played baritone acoustic guitar, Elana Arian was on fiddle, I played my acoustic guitar and we all sang, accompanied by vocalist Ingrid Graudins. It happened over a couple nights, with one microphone, and the results were magic.

Please order "A Catie Curtis Christmas” today! CD Baby for CD's or Downloads!.

As you know, I quit the road earlier this year. I never said I wouldn’t play a show or two (especially if they are close to home!)! I love playing for you, but I am very happy not leaving home every other week. My work at Greater Boston PFLAG is challenging, fulfilling and I am adjusting well to seeing my kids, my partner and our dogs every night!

I have two shows coming up in December:

  • December 2: Godfrey Daniels (rescheduled from June), Bethlehem, PA (sold out, but maybe you know someone who can sneak you in?)
  • December 10: City Winery, Boston, MA: I’m headlining and bringing some incredible talent with me including Elana Arian, vocal and fiddle, Jon Evans (Sarah McLachlin’s bass player) bass and vocals, and a couple of fun surprises! The show will include holiday songs, some favorite cuts from my catalog, and songs of light in the dark of winter. There are still tickets left: City Winery Catie Tickets
Warm hugs and holiday cheer!
