From the Couch...

From the Couch

Looks good on red...  Pug rumored to be communist

I'm just getting back from a fabulous week in the southeast.  While recovering from the late nights, I thought I'd drag the laptop onto Sam's couch to update you on some fun news:

"Happy" video debuting on LOGO: My new video for the song "Happy" will debut on LOGO's pop music video show NewNowNext tomorrow nite! Sarah McLachlan is hosting - check your local listings!

Washington, DC:  I played a SOLD OUT show at the Birchmere in Washington, DC with Lori McKenna! While in the DC area I appeared on the DC Fox morning news!  Watch it by clicking here. I also appeared in The Washington Post (!!!) - read it by clicking here.

Katie Reider: On Thanksgiving weekend, I'm playing a recently added show in Cleveland, Ohio. As it turns out, I'm not going to be able to make it to the Katie Reider tribute show in Newport Kentucky. I am planning to pay special tribute to Katie at my Cleveland show. If you knew Katie and want to request a song of hers for me to learn for the Cleveland show, please post it under "comments" on this site. I'll be back in the Northeast for shows in Maine and Noho MA in December. In February 2009, I am finally returning to Ireland (Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival:, and to London for a show at the Borderline! Dates will be posted here at when fully confirmed.

"Sweet Life" Video Contest: Last month when my new album "Sweet Life" came out, Compass Records and I launched a video contest. I asked all of my fans to submit a video of their "Sweet Life". After combing through the entries, we finally picked two awesome winners!!! The Grand Prize winner is Peter Musurlian and you can watch his video here:
Peter's Winning Video
The winner of Catie's Choice is Angie Harris and you can watch her video here:

Thanks to everyone who entered and for sharing your sweet lives with me!

I'm still in a state of shock and reverie about President-elect Obama. Kudos to all of you who worked to make this become reality.

See you out there,
P.S. You can listen to "Happy" from the CD "Sweet Life" by pressing PLAY, below. All other tunes are playing on Catie Radio (click Radio, above).
