2013 BIO
Catie Curtis is a veteran of the singer/songwriter folk scene, touring throughout the US for 20 years and releasing 13 CDs. Her credits include touring with Lilith Fair, and winning Grand Prize in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition (with co-writer Mark Erelli) and recording a duet with Kris Kristofferson. Her songs appear in numerous films and tv shows. She has been called a "folk-rock goddess" by the New Yorker, and has performed at the White House several times.

It is the first week of shows where I'll have copies of the new CD, Flying Dream. I am on a train to DC because there's a snow storm and my flight was canceled. Actually, both my original flight was canceled and the one I booked to get out ahead of the storm: canceled. The train is 3 hours behind schedule, but at least I'm on the way. And the first show at the Jammin' Jave (http://www: jamminjava.com/events/catie-curtis) in Vienna VA is tomorrow night, Jan 22,  not tonight, thankfully!  All the dates in the southeast will feature Liz Barnez, a kick-ass vocalist and cajon (drum) player!  We go from there to Ashland VA http://ashlandcoffeeandtea.com/ on Thursday 1/23, and to Durham NC to play a benefit concert at St. Philips Episcopal Church (http://st-philips-durham.dionc.org/Ministry%20and%20Outreach/strings-attached.html) on Friday, 1/24.
