Long Night Moon

We just updated my page on myspace, with four new songs (2 from Long Night Moon and two older ones).  Go hear Hey California and Strange as well as Patience and Dad's Yard.

The new CD "Long Night Moon" has been out for a month now.  I've been on a little press and radio junket, talking about the new music and the December full moon.  The themes of the record (yes I still love the word "record") all connect back to the idea of the hope in dark times, waiting through challenges, longing for more, that kind of thing.  It all sounds better in the context of the actual songs--trust me.  However, if you want to hear me talk about songs, rant about politics, or just goof around with radio hosts, there are two interviews on Sirius Satellite:
"Last Call" with Jeremy Hovies on Sirius OutQ 106  which began Friday, September 22nd  and "the Dharma Caf" with Pete and Maura Kennedy on Sirius Disorder 24, October 8th.   Apparently, if you go to sirius you can get a free three day trial subscription.   Also, you can check out a politically oriented interview that's been posted at American Microphone with host Rob Millis.

The songs from Long Night Moon are now loaded in Radio Catie on this site (just click on "listen") You can always click through songs in order to hear one of the new ones if you wish.  Also, Long Night Moon is featured as essential listening on this hip internet radio station:  Radioio Acoustic where you can discover lots of cool new music you wouldn't hear on mainstream radio.  XM Radio's The Loft with Mike Marrone is also a good place to tune in to hear the new CD.  And of course you can go get the CD anytime!   It's always cool to support your local indie record store, and if there isn't one, please support Barnes and Noble as well as Borders, who are really getting behind "Long Night Moon".  If you're into itunes, it's there as well!

The video of People Look Around can now be watched on You Tube: link.   If you want others to hear the song, there's an easy "share video" command to help you send it to friends.  And while you're there, you might want to check out the Xena video someone made to my song Radical!  I have no idea who created it, but it's hilarious.

The tour will get underway in October.  If you'd like to help spread the word about a show near you, please contact promotion@compassrecords.com .  Jenn Ross will hook you up with posters and information for blasting your friends with emails.  Word of mouth is where it's at.

much joy to you this day!

P.S.  On a political note, I am so excited about Deval Patrick winning the nomination in the democratic primary for governor of Massachusetts.  And this just in, gay couples in Rhode Island are (as of today) allowed to marry in Massachusetts.  Finally, some good news in politics!
