Songwriters Retreat AND Boston Area Gigs

Hello Friends,

I hope you are well!

I’d like to invite all of you to consider applying for the 2018 songwriters retreat that I host every summer with Jenna Lindbo and Scott Stoll, called “Catie at the Cove.” The Cove is on Georgetown Island, ME and this year the retreat is being held June 26th -July 1st. If you want five days to explore songwriting in a gorgeous pristine setting, surrounded by supportive folks and good humor, get info and apply here! http://catie-curtis.com/about/retreats/ We will be accepting folks on a rolling basis until the retreat is full. We set a cap of about 15 participants.

Next news, I am touring (only locally, keep your hats on!) All of the following shows are less than 30 minutes from my house, closer to the venues than some hotels I used to stay in!

The first concert is on FEB 10th at 8pm at New View Cohousing in West Acton, MA, and produced by local musician/producer Eric Kilburn. He in fact recorded my Dandelion cassette in 1989. Yes I said that. This venue has lots of great artists who come through, such as Cosy Sheridan, Ferron, David Mallet, etcetera. email Eric to make your $20 reservation: eckilburn@gmail.com. Address: 25 Half Moon, in the Common Room, West Acton, MA

Two weeks later, I return to the Homegrown Coffeehouse in Needham, MA on FEB 24th at 8 PM. This is one of the first professional gigs I ever played, back in the early 90’s. They are masterful carrot cake bakers in their 35th season, and told me I am “part of their history.” I think that’s a good thing! Reservations can be made at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3322513.

And last on this tireless run (haha) is a show presented by Braintree Folk, at the All Souls Coffeehouse, in Braintree! Lindsay Straw opens. Reservations are here: http://www.braintreefolk.org 196 Elm St, Braintree, MA, $15.

I am really looking forward to getting back up on stage and having fun. I’ve got a couple of new songs and a couple hundred old ones. I promise I won’t play them all.

Cheers,
Catie
