April Tour News (MA, WI, MN, NY, VA) and Festival Season
Tonight I play one of those quintessential New England Coffeehouses, the Me and Thee, at the Unitarian Church in Marblehead, MA=2E The talented Liz Carlisle (http://www=2Elizcarlisle=2Ecom) opens=2E Next week, I travel to the Midwest to play St=2E Cloud and Nisswa MN (I know, I haven't been there either but the people sound incredibly nice over the phone), Steven's Point WI, and Madison WI=2E My friend and fiddler Rachael Kilgour (http://www=2Erachaelkilgour=2Ecom) will join me on the latter three of those Midwest shows=2E
In the second half of April I'll appear (magically) at two shows at James Madison University in Harrisonburg VA, two shows at the Jammin' Java in Vienna VA, and just one show at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater in NYC=2E The Joe's gig is on Earth Day, and is part of a three-city (NYC, LA and Chicago) environmental awareness celebration called the Green Apple Festival=2E (http://www=2Egreenapplemusicfestival=2Ecom)
And finally, I wind up back in Massachusetts for a show at the Natick Center for the Arts, where I'll be backed by Kevin Barry on guitar and Edie Carey (http://www=2Eediecarey=2Ecom) on harmonies=2E Lucky for us, Edie will be opening the show as well=2E
My latest recording, Long Night Moon, has just been named a finalist in the Indie Acoustic Awards (http://www=2Eindieacoustic=2Ecom) in the category of "Best Lyrics=2E" Their site features some cool under-the-radar CDs you might like to find out about=2E
Now is a good time to plan ahead for the summer festivals: I'll be performing at the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, and more=2E Go to http://www=2Ecatiecurtis=2Ecom to g et concert updates or to drop a note on the guestbook=2E
See you out there, friends!
Catie
