YES WE CAN! DC, NE, IA, MN, MA, RI, London and Belfast

THIS WEEK IN THE BOSTON AREA: THERE ARE 4 SPACES LEFT IN A GUITAR WORKSHOP I'M TEACHING IN MEDFORD MA ON WEDNESDAY (tomorrow) EVENING, JANUARY 14. More info below*

Im happy to announce Ill be performing in Washington D.C. at the HRC Equality Ball for the Barack Obama Inaugural on Tuesday January 20th, along with Melissa Etheridge, Rufus Wainwright and Cyndi Lauper! Yes we can, yes we did, and yes, tickets are $375 for this special event. So, Ill also be at Lambda Rising Books in Dupont Circle on Sunday January 18th at 2 pm for a short (and free) set of music and a CD signing.

From DC, I travel to shows in Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota, where the lovely Meg Hutchinson will be opening and singing harmonies with me. Then Ill be back in New England to play coffeehouse shows in Framingham MA and Cumberland RI.

Coming up in February, I'm recording a bluegrass-style CD at Compass Records in Nashville. I understand they have a heck of a banjo player lined up! And since the theme of my February is Nashville, Im playing a festival in Belfast called the Belfast Nashville Songwriter Festival, along with Nanci Griffith, Tift Merritt and many other fine writers. Following the festival I travel to England for one date only, in London, at the Borderline.  Its been 6 years since I was there last, and Im really looking forward to returning. Ill also be in Pennsylvania and NYC in February, so check gig listings if you live there! Visits to Colorado, Utah and Albuquerque are also planned for this spring.
