Hello Stranger!

Just thought I'd take a moment to let you know about the latest tour Hello Stranger tour dates!  

My annual hometown theater show is coming up on November 7th at the Regent Theater in Arlington MA: "Catie Curtis and Friends" will include very special guests Lindsay Mac (singer/songwriter/cellist) and Rose Polenzani (singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist). I've put together an amazing band for the evening, featuring guitarist Kevin Barry, Elana Arian on fiddle and drummer John Sands. This show will be a night to remember!  link
On Friday October 23rd I head out to Arizona to play in Cave Creek (the fire pit gig!) and then on to California, where I will be accompanied by Meghan Toohey (the amazing multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter who has toured with Lenka, The Weepies and Lori McKenna).  October 24rd we're at McCabe's, my favorite LA gig and music store all wrapped up in one.  And on October 25th we'll perform in San Diego at a lovely old church.  Up in Northern California, we'll be rocking out at Don Quixote's International Music Hall in Felton and at the brand new Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse in Berkeley.

Back in New England, in addition to the Boston area show at the Regent, I'll be at one of my all-time favorite venues, the Iron Horse in Northampton, MA (with special guest Natalia Zuckerman and fiddler Elana Arian).  Also, I am thrilled to be playing a show on November 8th at Yarmouth (ME) High School, to  benefit Safe Passage, the organization founded to help educate impoverished children in Guatemala.  On November 11th I'm playing a special marriage equality benefit concert in Providence RI.

I'd like to applaud all the defenders of marriage equality who have been helping and hoping to defeat Proposition 1 in Maine.  On Wednesday this week, I will  appear along with DNC chairperson and former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine and HRC president Joe Solemese at a marriage equality event in Alexandria VA.  For more info:  link

More shows are posted at CatieCurtis.Com for November, December and into 2010.  I will be back in the Northwest US, Southeast US and everywhere in between.  I'd love to play some shows across the pond again… I hope that will happen soon!
