On Labor Day I put in a stealth appearance at the Club Passim (Cambridge, MA) Labor Day Campfire, playing in the round 'til after midnight with Jennifer Kimball, Anne Heaton, Rose Polenzani and Hanneke Cassel (the fiddler). What a treat to play with these women-- so talented and all part of the growing Boston-area music scene. In attendance was another locally-based touring musician Lindsay Mac, singer/songwriter who straps on a cello to pluck her tunes. She played earlier and the weekend and will be joining me on a Philly area gig or two this fall.
This Friday, I'm playing an evening coffeehouse with the amazing Kris Delmhorst in Franklin MA to benefit RideFAR. I'm not riding 500 miles in 5 days like the awesome participants, but I will play my heart out at the mid-trip concert. 100% of money collected goes to fund AIDS resources.
After a brief songwriting trip to Nashville next week, I'll return in time for the Boston Folk Festival, where I'll play in the round with Mark Erelli and Lori McKenna on Sunday September 16th. Then I have four shows in NH and ME to round out the month of September, followed by Provincetown (women's week), a weekend in Pennsylvania, and a west coast tour (kicked off by an Olivia Cruise) in October.
See you out there,
Catie
