I caught a couple of great shows last night-- yes two in one night, the club hopper that I am.  Jill and Faith Soloway put on a hilarious book reading/performance in Cambridge (MA), and the Weepies played a sold-out show at Johnny D's in Somerville.  It was a perfect break from the writing I've been trying to do this week, attempting to finish up songs for my new recording,  to be recorded this fall/winter.  Also a good break from all the news of the Gulf Coast and how depressing things have gotten around that debacle/tragedy. Trying to be hopeful...

I've got a couple more New England gigs coming up and then I'm off to the West Coast for a week-long tour with Mark Erelli.  In other news, I've been nominated for a Boston Music Award.  Go to the NEMO website for a ballot: link
